1st Annual Innovation Challenge: Patient Engagement in Clinical Trials

Committed to combating the challenges of participant engagement and retention in clinical research, the Partnerships in Clinical Trials Team/IIRUSA is partnering with industry leaders including Eli Lilly & Co, and UBC to promote patient-centered clinical research through the Patient Engagement App Challenge.

This competition challenges developers across the globe to submit new or existing apps that educate, engage, and empower participants enrolled in clinical studies. Using the Health IT movement as a launching pad, developers can help transform the clinical trial experience for patients by using software to improve patient education, communication, scheduling, medication adherence and more!

The best apps will be awarded $10,000 in prizes, including invitations to unveil their application onsite at the 2014 Partnerships in Clinical Trials conference in Las Vegas, NV.

Check out the phenomenal judging panel that includes Abbe Steel, Vice President of Patient & Physician Services at UBC; Jonathan Behr, Vice President of New Ventures at Enlight Biosciences; Tom Krohn, Director of Clinical Open Innovation at Eli Lilly and Company;  Anthony Primavera, Director of Web Services at iirusa.com and ibclifesciences.com, Rahlyn Gossen, Founder of Rebar Interactive; and Naveen Selvadurai, Co-founder of Foursquare

Register for the competition and get further details at http://patientengagement.challengepost.com. The submission deadline is February 11, 2014.
