What’s new and why this year at Partnerships in Clinical Trials?

Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing with you an in -depth preview of the Partnerships in Clinical Trials event from the eyes of the Conference Director - Marina Adamsky.

Today's question:

What’s new and why was it important to make the additions that you have?

Marina: Partnerships has been completely overhauled for 2014. I’m really excited about some of the changes that we’ve made. Just as the pharmaceutical industry changes, we as a conference organization needed to change, as well, to make sure that we were staying fresh with our content and relevancy to what the market really wants and what the market needs. We have really been working diligently with our 30 plus advisors into shaping this year’s program to be the best yet, including a strictly enforced Content Review Board to ensure lots of new data being presented.
What I’m really excited about is that we are partnering with industry leaders including Eli Lilly, UBC and Élan Bio to pose an industry-wide challenge focused on engagement in clinical trials. We currently have over $20,000 in prizes and growing. So, I encourage all of our listeners to check that out. The website is http://patientengagement.challengepost.com/
Another huge change for us this year is our Expo Hall, which is no longer an Expo Hall. Now we are referring to it as our Marketplace, since it’s really a marketplace of all of the types of attendees who come out to partner, collaborate, share ideas and really do business for the entire four days that they are at the conference.
To enable this targeted partnering we have exclusive use of EBD’s partneringOne software for easy and mutually beneficial one-to-one meetings with provided meeting rooms actually built within the marketplace. And we are building a lot of new things within the marketplace to make it really the centralized hub for learning, including an innovation theater where up and coming disrupters share their latest tech-based applications, as well as actual content and sessions to really get our audience engaged and excited to cooperate.
